Jiangmen’s urban distribution power grid is positioned to deliver full coverage across the hometown of overseas Chinese, balanced urban-rural power supply, and green and smart operation. Targeting the development of a first-class highly reliable distribution power grid in the Greater Bay Area and a demonstration of the new power system, it has formed a modern framework featuring robust main grid, smart distribution network, self-healing control and integrated green energy. In 2025, Jiangmen joined the provincial cohort of regions achieving power supply reliability with an annual outage duration within one hour. The grid provides solid support for building the western hub of the Greater Bay Area and advancing the "Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns, Ten Thousand Villages Project".
