0.6/1kV waterproof cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cable
Rated at 0.6/1kV, this low-voltage waterproof power cable complies with GB/T 12706.1-2008 and IEC 60502 standards. Upgraded from conventional YJV XLPE cables, it adopts a dual waterproof system combining longitudinal water-blocking and radial moisture barrier, which effectively prevents water ingress that causes water tree degradation, insulation deterioration, electric leakage and breakdown in humid, waterlogged and waterfront environments. It is categorized into non-armored, steel tape armored and water-tree retardant types for power transmission and distribution under damp conditions.
Water-blocking Stranded Copper ConductorClass 2 stranded oxygen-free copper conductors are filled with water-swellable yarn/powder to block longitudinal water migration inside the cable core and stop moisture penetration from cable ends.
XLPE Insulation (Optional Water-Tree Retardant Grade)Low water-absorption cross-linked polyethylene is applied; premium versions adopt dedicated water-tree retardant compound to restrain microscopic water tree cracks triggered by humidity and electric field, slowing insulation aging.
Semiconducting Water-Blocking TapeWrapped outside insulation to form the primary radial waterproof barrier, balancing electric field and isolating moisture from the insulation interface.
Water-blocking Filler & Inner SheathGaps between cores are fully filled with water-expandable sealant to eliminate water accumulation voids; extruded waterproof inner sheath encapsulates the cable core as a sealed unit.
Galvanized Steel Tape ArmourDouble galvanized steel tape offers compression and impact resistance, preventing lateral groundwater erosion; water-blocking compound filled between armour layers seals tiny gaps against moisture penetration.
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Outer SheathSuperior to ordinary PVC sheath with ultra-low water absorption, tight sealing and excellent resistance to soil corrosion and dampness, delivering full radial waterproofing for long-term underground immersion and high-humidity soil conditions.
Dual Water Barrier System, Eliminating Water Tree RisksLongitudinal water-blocking structure stops axial water spread; multi-layer radial barriers isolate underground water and humidity, avoiding insulation resistance decline and short-circuit failures induced by water tree aging, and passes prolonged underwater voltage withstand tests.
Stable Electrical Properties & Outstanding Heat ResistanceMaximum continuous operating temperature of conductor: 90℃; short-circuit withstand temperature up to 250℃ (≤5s). XLPE insulation features low dielectric loss and stable resistivity, providing higher current-carrying capacity than PVC cables with identical cross-section and steady power transmission efficiency in humid environments.
Wide Environmental Adaptability & Long Service LifeHDPE sheath resists acid-alkali soil, moisture, underground microbial corrosion and UV radiation. The armored structure withstands compression and impact, suitable for direct burial in waterlogged trenches, low-lying tunnels and waterfront zones; designed service life exceeds 30 years under normal operating conditions.
Flexible & Convenient InstallationModerate bending radius facilitates installation via conduits, cable trays, direct burial and vertical shafts. Integrated waterproof structure works with matched waterproof sealed cable joints for easy on-site construction.
Enhanced Safety MarginLow-smoke zero-halogen flame-retardant waterproof variants are available for scenarios requiring both moisture resistance and fire safety. The cable also features rodent & termite resistance and deformation tolerance against ground stress.
