0.6/1kV aluminum alloy power cable for distribution ·MELH22/YJLHV22
YJLHV22 (MELH22 is enterprise customized commercial model) officially refers to Aluminum Alloy Conductor XLPE Insulated Steel Tape Armoured PVC Sheathed Low-Voltage Power Cable, rated voltage 0.6/1kV. It complies with national standards GB/T 31840.1-2015 and GB/T 29920. Adopted as an economical lightweight alternative to traditional copper-core YJV22 cable, it features AA8030 rare earth high-speed aluminum alloy conductor, XLPE insulation, double galvanized steel tape armour and PVC outer sheath. It balances stable current carrying, creep resistance, lightweight structure, corrosion resistance and cost efficiency, widely applied in large-scale low-voltage power distribution for buildings, industrial parks and municipal projects.
YJ: Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation
L: Aluminum alloy conductor (8030 rare earth high-speed aluminum alloy)
H: Special mark for rare earth iron-aluminum alloy
V: PVC outer sheath
22: Double galvanized steel tape armour + inner liner, capable of bearing radial underground mechanical compression and impact MELH22: Enterprise exclusive model, identical in structure and parameters to national standard YJLHV22.
Compact Stranded Rare Earth Aluminum Alloy ConductorAdopts compact shaped wire stranding to minimize internal gaps. The 8030 alloy effectively overcomes defects of pure aluminum such as severe creep and loose terminal heating. It boasts superior flexibility compared with copper cables. To achieve equivalent current-carrying capacity, its cross-section is approx. 1.5 times that of copper conductor, while total weight is only 50% of copper cable.
XLPE Insulation LayerLow-dielectric-loss cross-linked polyethylene, continuous operating temperature up to 90℃, short-circuit withstand temperature 250℃ (≤5s). Uniform insulation restrains water tree aging with excellent moisture-proof and voltage-withstand performance.
Flame-retardant Filler & Wrapping Buffer LayerDense filling ensures cable roundness, relieves mechanical stress and blocks moisture intrusion.
Inner Isolation LinerSeparates insulation from steel tape armour to prevent insulation scratch damage.
Double Galvanized Steel Tape ArmourProvides compression resistance, impact resistance and rodent/termite protection, ideal for direct underground burial and cable trenches under heavy load.
PVC Outer SheathResists dampness, soil acid-alkali corrosion and prevents armour rust, serving as universal protective layer for outdoor and underground installation.
Excellent Creep Resistance & Permanent Connection SafetyEliminates the hidden danger of terminal loosening and overheating caused by thermal/mechanical creep of pure aluminum cables. Rare earth elements reduce creep coefficient drastically. Matched copper-aluminum transition terminals guarantee stable connection during temperature cycles without overheating.
Ultra-Light Weight & Reduced Construction CostTotal weight is only half of copper-core YJV22 with equal current capacity, lowering labor intensity for transportation, cable tray laying and vertical shaft wiring. Lower load for supports & brackets cuts auxiliary material investment and greatly improves installation efficiency for long-distance & large-span pipelines.
Superior Corrosion & Moisture Resistance, Extended Service LifeA dense passive oxidation film forms on aluminum alloy surface, offering better resistance to acid-alkali soil, moisture and microbial erosion than copper conductors. Sealed structure with steel armour & double sheaths adapts to waterlogged trenches and coastal salt fog areas; designed service life ≥ 30 years.
Controllable Power Loss & Stable Voltage for Large-Area DistributionLower skin effect and proximity effect reduce voltage drop for long-distance low-voltage trunk lines, stabilizing terminal voltage for industrial parks and residential communities. It can be laid normally at -40℃ with wide temperature adaptability.
High Cost-Effectiveness for General Distribution ProjectsRaw material cost is far lower than copper cables, saving 25%~40% total project investment for equivalent power load. Less auxiliary bracket investment and simple daily maintenance make it perfect for large-scale popularized power distribution systems.
Reliable Mechanical ProtectionSteel tape armour resists compression, rolling and rodent damage, suitable for direct burial, tunnels and cable trenches against external mechanical damage.
