Telephone Paper Covered Wire

Introduction

Telephone paper covered wire is a traditional paper insulated winding wire. It uses round copper / rectangular copper or aluminum conductors, with insulation formed by multi-layer overlapping wrapping of special telephone paper (QB 218). The insulation layer is thin, compact, flexible and smooth, suitable for oil-immersed electrical windings.

Key Features

  • Thin and flexible insulating paper (0.03–0.08 mm), tight wrapping and low space occupation

  • Stable electrical insulation, applicable for power frequency / low-frequency windings

  • Good oil resistance, compatible with transformer oil environment

  • Thermal Class: 105°C (Class A) after impregnation

  • Excellent workability: Smooth winding with low risk of damage

  • Moderate cost and mature manufacturing process

Application Scenarios

Oil-immersed power transformers, distribution transformers (main windings / regulating windings)
Oil-immersed reactors, instrument transformers
Windings for legacy communication equipment, telephone exchanges and carrier equipment
Low/medium-frequency oil-immersed motors and traction transformers
