Double Fiberglass Covered Aluminum Magnet Wire

Double Fiberglass Covered Aluminum Magnet Wire

Product Overview

Double fiberglass covered aluminum magnet wire takes electrical round/rectangular aluminum wire as the conductor. Two layers of alkali-free fiberglass yarn are wrapped bidirectionally in opposite directions, then impregnated with high-temperature resistant insulating varnish and baked & cured to form the final magnet wire. The two fiberglass layers are wound in reverse directions, tightly bonded integrally with the conductor and varnish coating. It combines the lightweight merit of aluminum conductor with outstanding insulation performance and high mechanical strength brought by dual fiberglass wrapping, manufactured in accordance with GB/T 7672-2008.

Core Advantages

  1. Reliable Insulation

Double protection composed of dual fiberglass layers plus insulating varnish; breakdown voltage ≥5kV/mm, excellent corona resistance, applicable for high-voltage operating conditions.

  2. High Mechanical Strength

The double-layer wrapped structure delivers strong resistance to abrasion, vibration and impact, featuring stable forming performance and low risk of delamination.

  3. Lightweight Property

Aluminum conductor density reaches 2.7g/cm³, around 68% lighter than copper; ideal for scenarios with limited installation space and strict weight reduction requirements.

  4. Comprehensive Thermal Classes

Available thermal ratings: 130°C (Class A), 155°C (Class B), 180°C (Class H), compatible with diverse temperature working environments.

  5. Cost-Effectiveness

Aluminum boasts lower market price than copper. Though aluminum wire requires larger cross-sectional area for equal electrical conductivity, the overall material cost is reduced remarkably.

Application Scenarios

  • Windings of medium & large dry-type transformers and reactors (especially preferred for applications demanding superior heat dissipation and light weight)

  • Stator & rotor coils of new energy vehicle drive motors and high-efficiency motors, for variable-frequency and high-speed operation conditions

  • Windings for electric welding machines, electromagnetic chucks and other equipment with large current and short-time overload characteristics

  • Electrical equipment deployed outdoors, in high-temperature, humid and other harsh environments that require stringent insulation and mechanical stability
